General Accountabilities:

  • Support the executive leadership team in changing the company culture to support the strategic objectives of a Shareholder owned company.
  • Support Lines of Business in realizing business value from major projects through change management techniques designed to prepare and support employees in pursuit of expected value.

 

Specific Accountabilities

  • Demonstrate visible leadership to develop and maintain a safe and healthy workplace
  • To create value for our customers by designing appropriate programs to ensure Strategic goals and/or Business Cases are achieved (As they relate to people adoption expectations)
  • To create a culture and maintain a work environment where employees can be fully engaged
  • Oversee the design, build, implementation and sustainment of the Change Management Center of Excellence/Department within Human Resources  
  • Identify, recommend and design /implement  approved change management programs by working collaboratively with the senior LOB leadership teams including project sponsors  (VPs and below)
  • Direct and oversee Change Management program activities including facilitation of meetings and working sessions as well as assigning appropriate resources
  • Ensure that appropriate Change Management activities are conducted in order for the project to go-live with minimal impacts to business operations
  • Share oversight responsibility for implementing and maintaining the enterprise Change Management methodology
  • Manage Change Management program work plans, budget and status reports for corporate projects (with internal or external resources, or both)
  • Coach/Mentor Change Management Delivery resources and assist them in competency and career development
  • Identify and communicate cross-area or cross-release issues that may affect business areas related to corporate projects

 

Essential Knowledge

  • Advanced working level knowledge of Change Management methodologies and deliverables, preferably Prosci certified
  • Detailed understanding of adult learning and training methods and their application in business
  • Familiarity with the utilities industry, preferably the electricity industry and ideally the Hydro One business model

 

Essential Experience

  • Completion of a university degree and up to 10 years of relevant business experience
  • 8+ years of experience leading the delivery of Change Management programs
