Job Function:

Under the direction of the supervisor, be responsible for the assigned construction of area transmission systems. Supervise all levels of staff reporting through regional lines travelling crew. Job Description:

Supervise subordinate supervisors and crews of tradespersons including Trade Group.
Performing work on all types of transmission equipment. Ensure discipline is maintained through monitoring subordinate supervisor's activities, taking appropriate controlling action. Monitor work performance of crews in such areas as quality and quantity of work, timekeeping, conduct and cost effectiveness. Recommend appropriate corrective actions or feedback and recognition. Participate in personnel matters such as interviewing, motivating and performance reviews including dealing with disciplinary matters. Deal with behavioural and absenteeism problems, collective agreement issues, apprentice training, work performance and delegation of authority, as required.
Execute annual work program, prepare budget, monitor program status and report progress. Assign appropriate portions of work program to subordinate supervisors. Develop and implement changes in program to meet changing conditions. Review priorities and resources and take appropriate action to meet needs. Coordinate activities with internal and external forces, frequently requiring a high degree of diplomacy. Administer work management system.
Prepare annual safety program using corporate and regional material as applicable to meet local needs. Provide safety leadership to the unit. Monitor effectiveness of the program by observation and review of incident reports. Participate in accident investigations as required. Conduct safety analysis to identify and safeguard hazards for jobs not covered by established procedures. Identify hazards to all associated work units and advise supervisor as required.
Liaise with public. Deal with public in reactive and proactive stance to arrange optimum effectiveness of section operation.
Monitor work in progress through review of assignments with supervisors and field checks of jobs. Take or authorize corrective action where necessary.
Administer and monitor outside lines resources (contractor and construction). Decide work to be contracted, arrange tenders and recommend awards. Routinely monitor work in progress, check for quality and safe work practices and take corrective action where necessary. Check progress invoices and recommend payment.
Ensure appropriate tools, and transport and work equipment to meet work program needs are available and maintained by work unit. Take action to ensure the security of equipment under section responsibility.
Review transmission lines work methods throughout the region. Ensure that new work methods are effectively introduced. Make recommendations for changes in methods and associated equipment.
Staff training. Monitor staff needs and recommend improvement programs as appropriate. Arrange technical upgrading sessions as required. Oversee apprentice program to assure that training assignments are complete.
Meet with outside groups and organizations as required to maintain good working relationship and public relations.
Provide data and the necessary reports on section activities to supervisor.
Perform other duties as required.

Job Description:

Provide coordination of assigned workgroup activities with those of other internal and external groups. Perform a Stations Site Coordinator role for projects, when requested.
Provide technical advice, guidance and assistance on protection, control, metering and telecommunication matters to assigned workgroup and other internal and external groups, as required in coordination with Metering and Technical Services Group.
Monitor and provide training in safe and effective work practices and procedures. Ensure assigned workgroup is trained in core and specialized areas in order to meet requirements. Provide special instruction and/or training, as assigned.
Assist Engineering and Construction Services and PWM in preparing and/or arranging specifications, drawings, layout plans, instructions, detailed estimates, material equipment lists and requisitions, work orders, tenders, installing or arranging for installation and performing tests for capital and maintenance projects.
Evaluate needs, recommend and justify the purchase of approved test instruments, tools and work equipment required to perform protection, control, metering and telecommunication work.

Selection Criteria:

Education:

Requires a knowledge of electrical theory and the operating characteristics of protection and control equipment such as protections, metering, control and telecommunications, for operation and maintenance of generation, transmission and distribution systems.
Requires a good knowledge of English to prepare extensive written documentation and to provide technical advice and guidance to others and participate in the preparation of designs and specifications.
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired through the completion of 4 years of University training (Grade XII plus 5 years).

Experience:

Requires experience to be familiar with protection, control, metering and telecommunication equipment.
Requires experience in commissioning, problem analysis and maintenance to ensure satisfactory installation and operation of equipment.
Requires familiarity with the area of operation, the location of major pieces of equipment, the relationship between other regional and Head Office personnel, methods and procedures governing the work and the supervisory aspects.

Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Services (Customer Connections), the Team Lead, Environmental Services provides senior environmental planning expertise and leadership for major customer connection, transmission, station, and other strategic infrastructure projects across Ontario. The role leads environmental delivery for a diverse portfolio of complex projects, including data centre connections, transmission and station expansions, battery energy storage systems, generation connections, and other customer-driven initiatives.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Environmental Planners supporting Customer Connections projects. Responsibilities include setting priorities, coordinating workloads, providing technical direction, ensuring quality deliverables, and supporting staff development throughout project planning and execution.

Key responsibilities include:

Determining environmental requirements for customer connection requests and infrastructure projects.
Leading environmental screening, due diligence, risk assessments, permitting strategies, and regulatory approvals.
Managing Class Environmental Assessment (EA) and environmental permitting programs.
Overseeing consultants, budgets, schedules, contracts, and technical deliverables.
Coordinating permits, agreements, approvals, and environmental commitments.
Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and project commitments.
Supervising, directing, and monitoring the work of assigned technical staff.
Maintaining expertise in provincial, federal, and municipal environmental legislation, regulations, policies, and best management practices.
Developing and implementing environmental strategies, programs, and actions that support corporate and business unit objectives.
Liaising and negotiating with government agencies, Indigenous communities, property owners, public stakeholders, and internal business partners to secure approvals, agreements, and project outcomes.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience leading complex environmental assessments and permitting programs for transmission, station, or other linear infrastructure projects. Experience managing multidisciplinary technical studies, environmental approvals, Indigenous and stakeholder engagement, environmental permitting strategies, and construction-related compliance activities is essential.The successful candidate will have proven experience leading teams, mentoring staff, managing competing priorities across multiple projects, and delivering practical environmental solutions that support customer commitments and project success.

Job Description:

Supervise, direct and monitor a team of Environmental Planners, providing technical direction, coaching, performance management, workload prioritization, and resource planning to support the successful delivery of environmental programs and projects. Oversee departmental budgets, schedules, consultant performance, and operational effectiveness.
Interpret, recommend and develop business unit wide and field specific environment actions to meet relevant corporate and line of business plans, policies, targets, measures, programs and operating procedures.
Provide interpretation, advice, guidance, and recommendations to business unit personnel regarding environmental legislation, regulatory requirements, permits, approvals, and compliance obligations applicable to electricity infrastructure projects. This includes, but is not limited to, the Environmental Assessment Act, Environmental Protection Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Conservation Authorities Act, Species Conservation Act, 2025 (formerly the Endangered Species Act, 2007), Fisheries Act (Canada), Migratory Birds Convention Act, Heritage Act (Ontario) Ontario Energy Board Act, and applicable municipal, provincial, and federal regulations and approvals.
Demonstrated expertise leading and managing multidisciplinary environmental studies and technical assessments for major infrastructure projects, including natural heritage, fisheries, hydrogeology, surface water, cultural heritage, archaeological, land use, agricultural, visual impact, noise, and Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) programs. Strong understanding of study scope development, procurement, cost estimating, consultant management, and integration of technical findings into environmental assessment, permitting, and project delivery processes.
Lead environmental regulatory and stakeholder engagement strategies by establishing and maintaining relationships with provincial and federal regulators, government agencies, and other key stakeholders. Education :

Knowledge and experience in environmental services supporting the route/site selection planning and construction of new transmission lines and stations and maintenance activities.
Knowledge and experience of environmental legislation and approval processes, e.g. Environmental Assessment Act, Electricity Act and the Provincial Policy Statement.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, processes and procedures.
Possess a high level of initiative, good communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Requires proficient written and spoken English to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and prepare comprehensive reports and make presentations to senior management and potential customers.

Experience :

Experience successfully leading the delivery of environmental requirements for capital projects.

Working with internal Lines of Businesses (LOBs), Indigenous Communities, other stakeholders and the public on planning and constructing new and upgraded transmission facilities.
Requires experience or understanding of various aspects of operating, servicing and maintaining the electrical system in order to understand the management of the associated environmental issues such as archaeology, cultural heritage, natural heritage, stakeholder engagement and contaminated lands.

We are seeking a Manager, Economics and Load Forecasting to join Hydro One Networks' forecasting team within Regulatory Affairs. Reporting to the Director, Pricing and Load Forecast, this role contributes to load forecasts development, economic analysis, and market intelligence across our regulatory submissions, business planning, and strategic initiatives. The role involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders across the business and external stakeholders such as the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO).

Job Function:

Support the Director - Pricing and Load Forecast in the development of a demand forecasts for Hydro One Networks transmission and distribution businesses by identifying and analyzing current and future trends, providing effective market forecasts, market analysis and market intelligence as strategic input to Hydro One Network's strategic and business planning, revenue management and regulatory submissions. Pro actively provide support to the Company’s Conservation and Demand Management projects.

Job Description:

Through collateral relationships with respect to the Director, Pricing and Load Forecast and within the context provided by the Director (i.e. Hydro One Networks strategies and policies, accountabilities, tasks, budgets and programs, compliance and performance targets, expectations for continuous improvement, etc.) provide the following:

1.Execute statutory requirements of IESO related to load forecasts and protect the integrity of corporate customer load database.
2.Develop and manage scenario analyses of strategic options, external environment scans, or special studies as support to development of Hydro One strategy.
3.Develop a provincial electricity market forecast, with analysis of energy service requirements by market segment and energy price forecasts by product for the province as a whole and for local areas of interest. This includes forecasts of sales and load for Hydro One Networks products, of transmission and distribution system loadings for capacity adequacy assessment, including simulation of demand side risks including self-generation and system bypass, in support of strategic and business planning and regulatory positioning.
4.Prepare risk ranges and alternative scenarios as required to further Hydro One risk management strategies.
5.Review and analyze the plan on an annual, or more frequent, basis to accommodate changes in the Hydro One strategy, or as required by the marketplace, the industry, and/or government.
6.Recommend and provide supplemental local area and/or short-term forecasts where critical needs are identified in support of such activities as system and investment planning, system reliability assessments, tariffs and pricing, regulatory submissions, risk assessments, and customer negotiations.
7.Develop and recommend systems and processes for providing economic assessments and forecasts.
8.Provide analytical and technical support in respect of Hydro One’s ongoing Conservation and Demand Management projects and take leading role in developing future CDM projects.
9.Negotiate and manage contracts with external data services providers (e.g. Global Insight), to accommodate changing budget requirements and provide savings to the company.
10.Recommend and monitor systems, processes, models and statistical techniques for forecasting and intelligence gathering so as to keep Hydro One's capability current. Continuously improve existing systems, processes and analytical models.
11.Execute and/or manage approved processes and programs resulting from the above recommended strategy.
12.Advise and brief Hydro One Networks management and business unit heads on market forecasts and relevant industry, regulatory, business and government developments. Gain approval and acceptance of forecasts, including the CEO of HO Networks.
13.Participate and testify, as necessary, at regulatory hearings with regards to the economic factors influencing the future costs of and demand for Hydro One Network’s regulated business (e.g. system demand, inflation projections). Develop evidence as required including regulatory filings, supporting analyses, position papers and interrogatory responses.
14.Develop, define, and ensure access to the necessary databases required to support Hydro One Network's forecasting capabilities. These include historical and current economic and energy market data, as well as Network metering points and customer loads.
15.Prepare and provide load forecasts for the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), on behalf of Hydro One Networks as required by the market rules for market participants. This includes annual forecasts with quarterly updates as required, at the delivery point level.
16.Develop forecasts, or load information, by customer delivery point to support rate submissions, revenue management and operational planning.
17.Adhere to the Affiliate Relationship Code (ARC) when providing sales data to HOI business units.
18.Develop forecasting tools and provide analytical support as required for Hydro One Networks.
19.Ensure forecast team provides essential input to their customers, develop quality products in a timely fashion, which protect the revenue stream and contribute to the success of rate applications.

Accountability for the outputs of others:
- Set the appropriate context for subordinates (Hydro One Networks strategies and policies, accountabilities, tasks, budget and programs, compliance and performance targets, expectations for continuous improvement, etc.)

Support and advise the Manager in the planning, governance, and delivery of the Security & Infrastructure portfolio. Perform assigned research activities into the most appropriate way and means of describing and measuring the specific groups outputs so that corporate financial requirements for rate review, budgets, etc, can be satisfied and coordinated with internal objectives. Collaborate with affected groups as required. Gather all pertinent data, evaluate and submit recommendations and/or findings to supervisor for consideration.
Rectify the day-to-day problems associated with areas of responsibility, attend staff meetings and participate in task forces as assigned.
Prepare and review financial evaluations of expenditure decisions to ensure documents submitted meet both corporate and branch requirements, that the financial assessments are accurately done and the appropriate escalation and present value factors have been used, that the financial evaluation, including assumptions, is analytically sound, and that the financially preferred alternative has been correctly identified.
Provide assignments to assigned staff with direction and guidance on expected results. Provide periodic progress checks, work along with and identify areas of concern. Provide supervisor with details of staff performance.
Perform studies relating to effective management and control of accounting and service operations and provide professional advice and guidance to various personnel in the division in the interpretation and use of corporate and branch financial evaluation and internal control policies, procedures, practices and guidelines.

Education:

Requires a comprehensive knowledge of business systems, economics, related mathematics, analytical techniques and computer systems to analyze, develop and implement business systems for the collection of data related to budget, economics and justification studies and to evaluate and submit recommendation pertinent thereto.
Requires good interpersonal skills and a knowledge of communicative skills, oral and written, to prepare reports and collaborate with internal and external contacts.This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired in either a four-year university education in an appropriate filed, such as, business administration, accounting, etc, or the equivalent.

Experience:

Requires experience in a financial environment to become familiar with developing and implementing business systems for the collection of financial data, to develop analytical and costing techniques, familiarity with accounting and financial policies, principles and procedures and to be able to interrelate requirements with those pertaining to a variety of accounting and economic situations.
Requires experience in the division and on the job to become familiar with the operations and objectives of the various departments in the division, the services provided, the responsibilities of divisional personnel, the accounting, business plans and budget activities and the various financial reports and studies to be performed and to become generally familiar with the duties to be performed.A period of up to eight years is considered necessary to gain this experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of integrated computer based information solutions for processes related to the correct, efficient, safe and secure operation and operations planning of the Bulk Transmission and Sub-Transmission System. Develop, coordinate and support IT resource management and investment planning solutions, processes and governance frameworks to meet the technology, operational and strategic needs of the Company. Coordinate the analysis and reporting of resource and investment information to support management decision-making. Lead initiatives involving investment planning, resource utilization, portfolio management and
governance activities. Support management in the engagement of IT contractors and consultants, including coordinating staffing requirements, liaising with staffing agencies and service providers, and monitoring engagement activities. Develop forecasts, analyses and reports related to contractor services, resource demand and current and future resource requirements to support acquisition and investment decisions. Job Responsibilities

Develop solutions relative to process improvements and business initiatives to meet the needs of the company with a goal of continuous improvement. Test solutions with user groups. Monitor the measurement of process results by developing, tracking and analyzing appropriate KPIs, as necessary, to evaluate the effectiveness of specific process improvement initiatives.
Utilize existing financial and management systems and reports to gather and consolidate information to produce a variety of business information such as historical cost trends, management, performance and productivity reports. Analyze data to ensure consistency with with corporate assumptions and strategies.
Coordinating the compilation and provision of LOB work program reports and evaluation of business plans, budgets, forecast and actual program performance data.
Direct support groups on coordination of efforts and required timelines to implement solutions. Provide clarification and direction to enable completion of various work efforts. Monitor adherence to required implementation timelines and follow up with support groups, as required.
Provide needs analysis, solutions and evaluation services. Ensure that an effective, systematic approach to process related training and development, based on current process methodology, is implemented. Keep abreast of developments in instruction and performance technology and make recommendations on improvements based on cost effectiveness and efficiency. Collaborate with external contacts to create a coordinated continuous quality improvement approach.
As assigned, manage projects and exercise limited supervision over staff when delivering training or when assigned to assist in special project work to identify and implement process improvements and business initiatives, including definition of critical path, timelines and identification of key dates. Arrange for internal/external stakeholder reviews and sign off and coordinate any changes required prior to implementation. Oversee and assess the work performed by internal resources and take corrective action, as required.
Be responsible for all the necessary arrangements associated with external consulting firms and vendors. Initiate requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, determine costs and other contractual details and work closely with external personnel to achieve optimum utilization of their resources.
Assist team leaders in planning and evaluating team or group meetings. Collaborate with team leaders to structure tasks, discussions, analysis and decision-making to ensure effective team operations and member involvement, including the identification of team or organization performance deficiencies. Provide guidance to teams/team leaders in the use of effective, systematic problem-solving and analytical processes appropriate to the improvement being sought. Maintain a diary of approaches used, as well as what was learned for each team using the facilitation service.
