General Accountabilities:

Commercial & Industrial Customer Relations (CICR) functions regarding customers and generators.
Understand how customers are set up for billing and payment.
Understand how a customer's facility/meter data relationships are maintained in the meter data management system and customer information system (CIS).
Respond to customer enquiries regarding contract process, field service requests, billing, rates and payment matters and other Hydro One initiatives and customer requests to modify existing accounts and services.
Provide analytical support to Customers, other Hydro One Lines of Businesses, or CICR Supervisor, as required.
Respond to phone calls or e-mails from customers who have questions regarding their billing, payment or service. Work with the Settlements team, and other Lines of Business, to obtain details as required.
Proactively contact customers by phone or e-mail, as required for various programs, issues or initiatives.
Understand regulatory compliance requirements of OEB Distribution System Code, Retail Settlement Code, IESO Market Rules and Program Rules.
Assist in the development and implement business processes and procedures required to ensure the integrity of CICR functions
Maintain customer account/meter data relationship in CIS and coordinate with other teams as required to update information.
Respond to customer enquiries regarding billing issues, service and account changes, and other Hydro One initiatives. Contact end-use customers and generators regarding billing and payment issues. Forward issues of concern to senior staff.
Perform audits to ensure billing parameters such as (rate class,total loss application including transformer loss allowance/adjustmentsand transformer ownership), have been correctly applied and reflected in the subsequent bill to the customer. Forward discrepancies identified to senior staff.
Exchange information with outside organizations such as IESO, 3rd party MSP, service providers as directed.
Some travel may be required (support for offsite presentations and/or customer visits)
Presentations to other Lines of Business, or customers, to describe our role, rates and regulations
Perform other duties as required.

Selection Criteria:

Knowledge of engineering principles, economics, and business administration.
Ability to translate complex electricity consumption profiles, regulatory requirements, and billing calculations into readily understood communications for C&I customers.
Knowledge of relevant sections of OEB Codes, IESO Market Rules and Program Rules.
Knowledge of Hydro One's Conditions of Service.
Knowledge of wholesale market and retail market billing and settlements
Knowledge of metering, billing and settlement processes.
Knowledge of load analysis, billing, settlements and customer service.
Computer programming and data management skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Customer service and account management skills plus experience in the use of CIS.
Four-year university education, or equivalent, in an appropriate field.
Experience in using software such as MS Office, Access, Visio.
Experience in load data management systems such as IEE & CIS.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
A minimum of two - four years related experience.

Education:

Requires knowledge of economics, engineering principles and business administration associated with wholesale settlement and retail billings.
Requires a knowledge of computer technology to utilize various software applications and prepare reports.
Requires a good knowledge of English to effectively communicate with external and internal staff. This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired in and equivalent to a four-year university education in appropriate field or the equivalent level of education.

Experience:

Requires experience in billing and settlement processes.
Requires an understanding of Ontario electricity market and the application of transmission and distribution tariff.
Requires anunderstanding of Hydro One customer connection process and load data management.
Requires experience with various computer data applications to produce reports. A period of over 2 years and up to and including 4 years' experience.

Specific Accountabilities:

In the role of HSE Field Services Manager, the incumbent will develop strategies, programs, systems, review mechanisms and service provision models in the areas of Safety and Environment for Hydro One Inc
Ensure the availability and quality delivery of various critical safety and environmental services and technical support. These include, but are not limited to incident investigation, compliance reviews (including Workwell self assessments), self assessment development tools, prevention/improvement plans, management system implementation, emergency response support, JHSC support, risk assessment, various program development support/coordination, TDG management support, and various other technical specialist support related to HSE (i.e. Land Assessment and Remediation).
Support incident reporting, investigation and follow-up processes. Ensure appropriately trained resources are available. Recommend, where appropriate, changes to the corporate processes.
Develop strategies and programs to improve and manage health, safety and environment management systems and services within Hydro One Networks that are consistent with the overall Corporate management system, in order to continually improve HSE performance and to meet due diligence requirements.
Review and provide advice to Senior Management within Hydro One Networks on H, S, & E on the potential operational implications of investment decisions, recommended strategic direction and business planning.(resources required)
Assess H, S, & E liabilities (examples include WSIB, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Environment) that could have an impact on asset value and legal liabilities (i.e. Workwell Audit, MOL Orders to Comply, MOL Charges).
Evaluate the impact of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation on the Hydro One Networks organization and recommend strategic response. Assess the extent to which proposed legislation affects resourcing levels on the businesses etc.
In association with the business units within Hydro One Networks, develop ongoing strategies for the use of compliance reviews. Monitor and assess the results of the comprehensive compliance reviews to assist in the development of programs to mitigate potential risks, liabilities and inefficiencies.
Assist with the development of H, S, & E strategies in a manner that maintains value for the shareholder and enables the accomplishment of business objectives. Ensure the operational perspective has been considered.
Represent and act on behalf of Hydro One Networks in dealings with the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of the Environment and external agencies in responding to specific liabilities concerning health, safety and environmental issues. This requires access to confidential information concerning MOL charges, MOL Orders to comply.
Manage staff within the Health Safety & Environment Field Services Department, some of which are in rotational supervisory development roles to complete Health, Safety and Environmental work programs.
Ensure a formal staff development and mentoring program is in place for the developmental rotation staff and that it is achieving the desired results. Interact with sending unit management to ensure expectations are being met.
Develop strategies and programs for the accomplishment and monitoring of performance measures, and targets such as severity & frequency and incident reporting requirements for H, S, & E within Hydro One Networks. Monitor and assess program performance and resourcing requirements for the H, S, & E function and redirect where necessary.
Consult, influence and maintain effective working relationships with health, safety and environmental stakeholders (governments, industry, employees, general public, special interest groups) in order for Hydro One to meet its business objectives.
Support the business/strategic planning / budgeting (staff resources, staff commitments) process with respect to health, safety and environment initiatives
Develop strategy and the means to evaluate data to improve Health Safety & Environment performance for Hydro One Inc.

The Cable Crew is responsible for the safe maintenance, operation, and integrity of approximately 170 km of underground transmission circuits across Toronto & the GTA, encompassing a mix of HV High /Low Pressure Liquid Filled cable, Pipe type and XLPE cable systems. This network forms a critical backbone supplying the downtown core and surrounding load centres. Our team plays an integral role in supporting capital projects and system expansions by providing field expertise and site representation for contractors, ensuring work is completed to standard and in alignment with system reliability requirements. Additionally, we fulfill key legislative obligations, including managing locates through Ontario One Call to protect buried infrastructure and prevent third-party damage. Through these combined responsibilities, the Cable Crew directly contributes to the reliability, safety, and long-term sustainability of the broader transmission system.

General Accountabilities

Lead and supervise Cable Crews in the safe, efficient execution of preventive and corrective maintenance programs for underground HV cable systems
Plan, schedule, and coordinate crew activities, materials, tools, and equipment to deliver work programs, inspections, and capital work
Take ownership of crew safety, including establishing and holding work protection, conducting tailboards, safety meetings, and hazard assessments, and ensuring compliance with Hydro One standards
Lead cable locates (stakeouts) and support capital work, including HV cable joint replacements and system improvements
Supervise and participate in cable maintenance, inspections, testing, and HV/MV cable repairs, and carry out Hi Pot and Partial Discharge cable testing for MV cables up to 50KV
Organize and assign work to crew members based on skills and qualifications, and coordinate activities with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
Optimize resources and adjust work plans to respond to changing priorities, system conditions, and emergencies
Monitor crew performance, provide coaching and on-the-job training, and support employee development and performance management
Promote a respectful, productive work environment and maintain positive labour relations
Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and use of systems (e.g., SAP) for planning and tracking work activities
Ensure work meets corporate standards for safety, quality, and productivity
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency work as required

Selection Criteria

Grade 12 (or equivalent) with experience in a high-voltage (HV) environment, including job planning, work protection, and crew leadership
Valid driver’s license
Utility Work Protection Code (UWPC) certification is an asset
309A Electrician certification (or equivalent) is an asset
Proven experience as a cable maintainer, including:

Splicing and terminating MV/HV cables

Performing cable maintenance, inspections, and repairs using specialized equipment

Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and route prints
Demonstrated leadership experience directing crews, assigning work, and delivering safe, efficient results
Strong knowledge of Hydro One Safety Rules, work protection practices, and cable maintenance standards
Ability to lead safety programs, tailboards, and compliance activities

Ten (10) years of experience in government relations, public affairs, political environments, stakeholder relations, public policy, regulatory affairs, or a related field, 3 plus years in Management.
Experience working with government stakeholders at municipal, provincial, and/or federal levels.
Demonstrated experience leading complex initiatives and preparing materials for executive-level audiences.

Strong understanding of political processes, legislative frameworks, government decision-making structures, and stakeholder dynamics.
Ability to provide politically sound advice and recommendations to leadership.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Hydro One's Waste Management and Large Equipment Removal programs. This includes planning, coordinating, and overseeing the dismantling, transportation, and disposal of end-of-life assets across the province, while ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulatory and environmental requirements.

Job Description:

Perform or assist in environmental and land use analysis studies and development within the department responsible for any of the following: Project Planning Services, Computer Applications, Inventory Methods, Land Use Planning Serv-ices, Impact Prediction Studies, Environmental Program Coordination and Study Methods Development. Prepare tendering specifications, budget requirementsand participate on committees.

Job Description:

The Planner can be assigned responsibilities directed to any of the following major departmental activities associated with the approval, design and construction of new and modified bulk transmission facilities or responsibilities associated with reviews of external policies, legislation and planning documents on behalf of Hydro One.

(a) Project Planning and Services - where responsibilities are directed to the coordination of environmental study projects; the analysis of land use and environmental implications; the preparation of recommendations and reports on or from among route and site alternatives; the analysis of specific environmental situations, the preparation of recommendations to mitigate the environmental effects of constructing bulk transmission/transformation facilities.

(b) Computer Applications - where responsibilities are directed to studies and the development and maintenance of computer applications as associated with the planning process and automated processing of environmental and land use data, to the provision of specialized training and advice where required.

(c) Land Use Planning Services - where responsibilities are directed towards the analysis of and coordination of responses by Hydro One Inc. on proposed government land use policy, municipal official plans, zoning bylaws and site plans, and proposed development plans of government ministries and agencies to ensure that Hydro One's interests are considered and protected; to review and comment on property management proposals and plans of subdivision as requested by internal groups; to review and analyze existing land use planning documents for environmental project planning; to prepare and process requests for Orders-in-Council and municipal approvals required for projects.

(d) Impact Prediction Studies - where responsibilities are directed towards developing better understandings of the kinds of land use and environmental effects which could result from Ontario Hydro facilities and activities; methods by which such knowledge can be used to predict effects and to help identify, compare and select from among transmission route and site alternatives and to mitigate effects of constructing bulk system facilities.

(e) Inventory Methods - where responsibilities are directed towards improvement of methods for collecting and creating information about the environment and potential impacts, including better sources of information, new technology and media.

Carry out minor or assist in carrying out major studies and planning for construction projects within the responsibility areas as assigned. On occasion, coordinate smaller studies as directed. Refer unusual problems and relatively important matters to supervisor for direction. Participate in the preparation and presentation of comprehensive responses, reports, recommendations and environmental assessment documents to, and appear before senior management and other interested parties in support of recommendations resulting from assigned projects or studies.
Carry out investigations, develop evidence and appear at formal hearings including governmental and public participation processes related to land use, environmental planning, site selection Ontario Municipal Board (OMB), Environmental Assessment Board (EAB), joint boards, etc, in an effort to influence the members to change their recommendations in accordance with the interests of Hydro One Inc. Follow all Hydro One rules and practices regarding work safety and vehicle operation.

Job Description:

The Planner can be assigned responsibilities directed to any of the following major departmental activities associated with the approval, design and construction of new and modified bulk transmission facilities or responsibilities associated with reviews of external policies, legislation and planning documents on behalf of Hydro One.

Education:

Requires a knowledge of environmental sciences, environmental engineering, urban and regional planning or landscape architecture including such pertinent subjects within those fields as the ecological sciences, land economics, land uses, geography, agriculture, environmental assessment and planning theory, etc, to perform or assist in the conduct of environmental studies and design and construction components of transmission and station projects of Hydro One Inc.
Requires a knowledge of computer technology and GIS.
Requires a thorough knowledge of communication skills, both oral and written, for preparation, editing and presentation of standards, procedures and environmental assessments, and in dealing with both professional contacts and the general public.
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired either through the successful completion of a four year university education in Archaeology as an asset

Experience:

Inspect the work or installations carried out to ensure work quality meets all specifications and complies with contracts. Conduct post-implementation reviews with clients and ensure their requirements are met. Be familiar with all site electronic devices and their operation and work effectively with other groups to keep these systems operational as intended. Take appropriate action in the event of system, equipment or procedural failures to ensure problems are corrected and systems and equipment are returned to service.
Initiate inquiries and investigations resulting from complaints or information about theft, fraud, willful damage, vandalism, accidents, fire, etc. Conduct investigations of a serious or sensitive nature. Write and edit detailed security investigation and accident reports.
Prepare recommendations for senior management approval for disaster recovery and emergency evacuation plans for all Head Office sites. Test and monitor their effectiveness to ensure they meet Corporate

Provide appropriate training to security and other Department staff, and Head Office employees on security systems and services. Respond to emergency alarm situations by directing and coordinating security staff, Ontario Hydro staff and members of the public to ensure their personal safety. Make changes to procedures during emergency situations as necessary.

Participate in planning of Zone capital expenditures, such as line extensions, street lighting, plant betterment, etc. Be aware of load growth or other conditions necessitating modification of existing plant or services, or extensions thereto. Job Description:

Work with fuel suppliers to reach agreement on sufficient levels of fuel in inventory and order fuel on a regular basis, as required. Input, update and monitor the Fuel Suppliers' service via the Fuel
Management Program for all remote communities. Input fuel dips/fuel level readings and meter readings when received from each community. Ensure that the efficiency rate is within the designated confines or investigate and solve any discrepancies. Prepare requisitions for the supply of diesel fuel. Assist in reconciling fuel used and delivered to
the general ledger. Check and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness against fuel received. Prepare fuel invoices for approval and payment by the appropriate signing authority. Monitor winter road and barge in-service and closure dates. Notify suppliers when contracts are suspended, based on accessibility of winter roads and the barge season. Resolve minor disputes with fuel suppliers and pass more difficult issues to supervisor, as required.
Calculate and monitor fuel consumption and kw/hr produced. Receive data from the Remote Community Site Operators and input to computer program and prepare fuel efficiency report. Evaluate and analyze data produced from previous and expected results. Contact operators if data is incorrect and obtain new data. Provide regular fuel reporting results to finance for review and assist with investigating variances.
Coordinate booking of aircraft service for field staff. Order food for different work crews. Input data into the Flight Program and contact personnel and Aircraft carriers for information, as required. Acquire the next consecutive flight number, times, passengers, or freight and enter the logs of each flight. Monitor and record the daily and weekly movement of aircraft associated with Remote Communities business. Maintain an active and accurate flight board. Log incident reports, as necessary. Resolve minor disputes with aircraft service or food provider related to service and refer more difficult issues to supervisor, as required.
Receive and process all flight invoices by sorting their flight numbers and matching them with the Flight Program. Ensure invoices are for the correct amount, check individual logs and make any necessary amendments (such as deducting flight/log cancellation charges) before forwarding to each supervisor for approval and payment. On a monthly basis, provide accounting distribution, based on supervisor input, to finance for recording. Resolve minor disputes with aircraft service providers related to invoice issues and refer more difficult issues to supervisor, as required.
Maintain regular contracted payments to Hydro One operators. Receive and check agent overtime invoices. Ensure invoice amount, approval overtime amount and taxes are correct before forwarding to supervisor or respective First Nation administration for payment.
Respond to operator, First nation or general inquiries regarding invoices and payments. Work with suppliers to resolve missing invoices, purchase order issues and unknown payments etc. Review, approve and monitor items requiring approval including material requests, orders and invoices. Review and approve routine invoices, as required. Resolve minor disputes with suppliers and refer more difficult issues to supervisor, as required

Monitor location of crew staff performing maintenance work on a daily basis. Respond to telephone inquiries and trouble calls, attempt to identify source of problem and determine location of caller, utilizing appropriate apparatus, (i.e. Area maps). Relay information/requests to service crews on the basis of priority and upon the availability and proximity of crews. Refer major service disruptions, emergencies to Supervisor to generate further action.
Notify customers with respect to cases of planned interruption to service, as directed by Supervisor.
Prepare requisitions and contract documents in accordance with approved procedures for work such as grass cutting, snow plowing, janitorial services, garbage removal, diesel fuel purchases for barge, winter road, road rail deliveries, etc. Material requests must be created in system software in order to enable purchase orders to be created by others.
Assemble details needed to complete an invitation to tender prior to the commencement of a job. Monitor and expedite the service, when required. Receive approved purchase orders, check for accuracy of data and make arrangements for correction or completion of data as necessary. Check on completion of jobs for correct invoice amounts and make adjustments to requisitions, as necessary. Note expiry dates on the contracts and arrange for new contracts. Maintain records for future requirements.
Assist in the development of maintenance schedules. Collect data from a variety of sources such as, SAP, operations reports and manufacturers' schedules and prepare required data for presentation, using appropriate software programs. Carry out minor or assist in carrying out major studies and planning for construction projects within the responsibility areas as assigned. On occasion, coordinate smaller studies as directed. Education:

Requires a knowledge of environmental sciences, environmental engineering, urban and regional planning or landscape architecture including such pertinent subjects within those fields as the ecological sciences, land economics, land uses, geography, agriculture, environmental assessment and planning theory, etc, to perform or assist in the conduct of environmental studies and design and construction components of transmission and station projects of Hydro One Inc.
Requires a knowledge of computer technology and GIS. Requires a thorough knowledge of communication skills, both oral and written, for preparation, editing and presentation of standards, procedures and environmental assessments, and in dealing with both professional contacts and the general public.
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired either through the successful completion of a four year university education in environmental science, biology, planning, engineernig or similar.

Experience:

Requires experience in urban and regional planning, forestry, agriculture, etc, to become familiar with a range of aspects of land use and environmental planning and mitigation of construction impacts.
Requires experience to become familiar with environmental problems peculiar to utilities, the preparation and presentation of environmental assessments, and the construction of bulk transmission facilities.
Requires experience in conducting studies, preparing proposals and coordinating contract administration activities for minor projects of assigned components of major projects.
Requires experience in public presentation processes to ensure satisfactory communication with external contacts and the general public.

Selection Criteria

Education:

General Accountabilities:

Within the context provided by the Director (or VP) – Transmission System Planning, in alignment with corporate strategies and policies, accountabilities, budget and programs, compliance and performance targets as well as continuous improvement in the regulated planning environment, this role will be accountable for the following:

Support the Director (or VP) – Transmission System Planning in effectively planning and establishing the transmission development and sustainment initiatives and programs to meet the transmission needs in Ontario. This role oversees customer load and generation connections, station sustainment and renewal projects, transmission line and station development projects, including bulk system development projects directed by the IESO or Government. Prime focus will be on long term development and innovation.
Develop and commit prioritized, defensible transmission development and sustainment plans for Ontario consistent with corporate strategy, to meet government policy, customer needs, Regional plans, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Manage customer, government and IESO engagements to enable long term development and procurements and support provincial growth.
Prepare investment business cases and documentation for transmission development and sustainment projects and programs, and obtains approval in compliance with Hydro One Financial Rules, e.g. EAR.
Oversee and ensure completeness and accuracy of planning technical specifications for transmission investments, including necessary studies and long term policies.
Prepare business cases and strategies, develop rationale for policies and standards, obtain approvals, and provide input for business planning/budgeting.
Act as leader and technical expert to provide direction to staff involved with the detailed work related to transmission planning assessments, studies, technical specifications and project developments. Plan, schedule and assign the work with instructions, provide advice and guidance, and check the work to maintain quality, accuracy and productivity.
Ensure compliance to the defined obligations in the transmission license, OEB codes, market rules, and reliability standards, and ensure alignment with approved corporate objectives and strategies. Identify and assess current and future needs for transmission planning and design policy and strategy.
Take a lead role for the transmission sustainment and development investment input on yearly business plans and in effectively representing Hydro One in Ontario Energy Board proceedings related to transmission investments (e.g. Interrogatories, Section 92 and Transmission rate applications)
Provide necessary transmission planning support to other business unit including project delivery, operations, customer relations, indigenous relations, regulatory, legal or real estate, where required. Focus the business on minimizing cost impact to rate payers.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, maintaining open communications and developing policies and products that address expectations of all customers, including transmission connected loads and generators and improve their knowledge and understanding of Hydro One services and the Ontario market and electricity system, as they affect the customer’s plans, obligations and operations.
Participate in the negotiation of agreements with interconnected utilities that address planning issues, liabilities, communication protocols, asset operation and maintenance, safety procedures, information and reporting requirements.
Work with other utilities in Canada and the United States, customer associations (ex. AMPCO), industry associations (CEA, EPRI, etc), reliability authorities (NPCC, NERC, IESO), planning authorities (IESO), equipment manufacturers and environmental stakeholders to discuss effects of changes or trends; to develop complementary policies and strategies (example – climate or resilience); and to influence and persuade external entities to adopt positions that are consistent with the company’s interests and benefits.
Provide advice and support communications products to external stakeholders (e.g. government agencies, municipalities, consumer groups) and assist in understanding of the transmission planning process, regulatory codes, business policies and strategies.
Manage staffing needs, interview/selection process, staff development and adherence to HR/Corporate policies and administer department budget. Plan, organize and schedule the group's work; monitor work progress and quality; conduct performance reviews and provide direction on problem areas. Provide effective recommendations concerning promotions, transfers, pay, disciplinary action, etc. of staff within the department per collective agreements. Develop succession plans and provide on the job staff development. Monitor and recommend changes to control and meet targets.

Education:

Knowledge and experience of integrated power system planning and operations, including asset life cycle and renewal principals, generation and transmission components and their impact on system security.

Job Description:

Perform engineering work of average complexity such as preparation of estimate specifications, providing technical advice and assistance during expansion of the system plan, preparation of detailed designs, providing technical parts of specifications and participate in the analysis of tenders in relation to transmission lines, underground and overhead, and associated equipment 115 kV and above: Receive general requirements from Supervisor or others, together with basic design assumptions. Prepare sound and economic designs, including detailed calculations. Prepare complete sketches of work designed. Discuss design features with Supervisor and submit for check upon completion.
Collaborate with others in the division in the preparation of recommendations for the effective operation and maintenance of new and revised facilities, with information on the potentialities and limitations inherent in the design.
Participate as required, in studies of designs, specifications and construction methods to ensure compatibility for optimum economy: Discuss requirements with Supervisor. Evaluate present methods and recommend improvements. Visit construction sites to gain first-hand knowledge. Work with person concerned in solution of problem area. Keep Supervisor informed of progress.
Assist senior development design engineer as assigned, in design work of major complexity: Receive basic design assumptions along with necessary instructions. Proceed with the design as outlined. Obtain direction on unfamiliar areas from party concerned. Submit completed work for review.
Prepare and arrange for the processing of computer programs to per form design calculations: Receive assignments from Supervisor along with reference points to the data required. Assemble information, study all available literature and consult with other utilities and manufacturers as arranged by Supervisor, to obtain data on similar programs, if any. Arrange engineering formula or calculations into a coding language, suitable for transfer to data processing centres, internal or external through formal training in coding language and association with processing personnel. Modify existing programs where feasible to meet requirements. Cooperate with data processing personnel in debugging program. Edit the input and output for routine operation of program.
Perform other duties as required.

Education:

Requires civil engineering knowledge as it applies to structural design in order to assist in the design of new structures and in the calculation of conductor sags and tensions.
Requires a knowledge of electrical transmission theory for the design of conductor configurations, insulations, clearances and the like.
Requires a knowledge of soil mechanics in order to design foundations.
Requires a general knowledge of computer operation and a detailed knowledge of coding language for the preparation of computer programs.
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired in and equivalent to a 4-year university education in an appropriate field such as civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering.

Requires field construction experience to learn the limitations of equipment and the methods used to meet special field problems.
