Job Function

Perform assigned work under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager to assist in developing, evaluating, and implementing Supply Chain strategy, policies, procedures, and management systems in the provision of Supply Chain support to line management. Participate in ensuring that Supply Chain policies and procedures are understood and enforced by all lines of business.

 

Job Description

  1. Participate in the development of Supply Chain policies and procedures including analysis, interaction with stakeholders, recommendation, documentation, and implementation.
  2. Assist in ensuring that the Supply Chain internal control structure is sound including; implementation of audit findings; compliance monitoring including testing, reporting and implementing findings; reporting to various governing bodies on the status of outstanding findings etc. 
  3. Perform activities related to budgeting and reporting including, financial budgets, trends and forecasts, including variance explanations.
  4. Participate in procurement activities including developing RFx’s, evaluations, negotiations, awarding contracts and set up of Purchase Orders.
  5. Identify opportunities for Supply Chain Services policies and procedures training and develop an action plan to deliver the training.
  6. Assist in identifying and setting up tracking systems related to key Supply Chain Services deliverables.
  7. Participate in project type work as initiatives are identified. Depending on the complexity the individual may be a team member or a leader of the initiative.
  8. Supervise staff on a limited basis staff including assigning and checking work. Provide advice, guidance and instruction, as required.
  9. Perform other duties as required.
