Job purpose:
Hydro One is seeking a seasoned professional with extensive experience working in a matrixed environment, leading, and uniting business leaders to keep all priority work moving forward. This collaborative leader will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and other senior leaders to provide strategic guidance, manage projects, and facilitate effective communication across Lines of Business. This role requires a strong understanding of the utility industry exceptional leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with ELT to develop and execute on strategic plans, ensuring alignment with Hydro One’s goals and objectives.
- Manage and oversee key projects, ensuring timely completion and successful implementation.
- Conduct appropriate research, analysis and data-driven decision making and provide recommendations to the ELT.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across Lines of Business, ensuring information flow and coordination efforts.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports and other materials for executive meetings and board presentations.
- Monitor industry tends, regulatory changes and completive landscape to identify potential risk and opportunity.
- Act as a liaison between the ELT and other internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations and community organizations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Selection Criteria:
- Proven ability making an impact, developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results both in the short and long term.
- Requires proven track record working cross-organizationally and with multiple, disparate stakeholders at varying levels.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); experience creating and presenting complex information in a digestible format to the ELT and Board Committees.
- Strong business acumen with experience working in a unionized work environment.
- 12+ yeas progressive experience in a related field.
