The Opportunity:
We are seeking a strategic and results‑driven Director, Distribution Lines Work Management to lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of Distribution Lines work programs across the province. This role provides executive leadership over centralized work management, field business centers, and Finance, Reporting & Analytics—enabling the successful delivery of large‑scale, regulated capital programs.
The Director partners closely with senior leaders across Distribution, Planning, Asset Management, Finance, and Strategy to deliver safe, compliant, and cost‑effective outcomes while overseeing a large, unionized workforce in a complex operational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of the Distribution Lines Business Plan, annual work program, and multi‑year Investment Plan.
- Provide executive oversight of planning, budgeting, scheduling, and performance control for all Distribution Lines programs.
- Accountable for operational and financial performance, including annual budgets ranging from $800M to $2B.
- Direct centralized Work Management, Field Business Centers, and Reporting, Finance & Analytics functions.
- Oversee safety, quality, timeliness, and cost control across all programs, including storm response support.
- Lead enterprise reporting, Service Quality Indicators (SQI), regulatory compliance, and rate‑filing inputs.
- Build and lead a strong senior leadership team, including performance management, succession planning, and capability development.
- Foster a strong safety culture and provide stewardship of people, assets, and resources.
Scope & Leadership:
- Oversight of approximately 500 employees, including:
- Field Business Centers
- Work Management
- Reporting, Finance & Analytics
- Leadership of a multi‑skilled, unionized workforce operating within collective agreements and regulatory requirements.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in regulated, asset‑intensive or utility environments.
- Deep expertise in investment planning, regulatory planning, budgeting, project management, estimating, scheduling, and reporting.
- Proven success leading large operational teams and complex transformation initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen and executive‑level stakeholder management experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent business degree strongly preferred.

- Strategic, analytical, and decisive with strong executive presence.
- Effective change leader who thrives in complexity and ambiguity.
- Collaborative influencer with strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, operational excellence, and workforce engagement.

The base salary for this role considers a variety of factors, including candidates' knowledge, skills, experience, education, and any applicable collective agreement requirements for union-represented positions.
