College Co-Op Student

      Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Internal Communications, this co-op position will support the internal communications team at Hydro One. This critical role will help drive results by supporting projects and priorities and ensuring their alignment with the internal communications strategy.

      This role includes the opportunity to on-the-job learning and minimal travel may be required.

1. Support the development of strategies and tactics for effectively communicating programs and initiatives to internal audiences that are aligned with the internal communications strategy.

2. Support the internal communications team to develop approved, effective communications plans, products and strategies for internal clients.

3. Write articles to a professional standard for a variety of internal audiences.

4. Work with internal and external vendors to develop, implement or deliver communication products and services by coordinating and providing direction on all aspects of development and production.

5. Develop budget estimates and work back schedules to support projects.

6. Support the coordination of photography sessions or video and film productions using internal and external vendors.

7. Support the coordination and direct writing service and creative design, including illustration and creative from concept and layouts through to finished work, ensuring their quality and timeliness.

8. Collaborate with other departmental staff to develop integrated communication plans, various communication tactics. 

9. Other duties as required.

Education requirement:

Enrolled in College/University, preferably final year of Public Relations or Communications course
