You will be a member of the above group, which is responsible for:
This placement will be part of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) department in Human Resources. The DEI department is accountable for developing and implementing companywide DEI strategies and plans and providing support, advice and guidance on DEI related issues across the company. This includes governance of our employee resource groups, workshop development and delivery, engaging and supporting our field and corporate employees, evaluating HR processes, policies and programs in support of Hydro One’s values, brand promise, strategic corporate goals and objectives, etc. We support a wide variety of DEI programs both internally and externally.
Your job duties may include:
- Co-facilitating DEI workshops
- Assisting DEI team in supporting our employee resource groups
- Assisting with virtual/in person events, communications strategies/plans and projects
- Supporting our One Awards program by screening resumes, scheduling interviews and helping organize Awards luncheon
- Updating DEI SharePoint site
- Creating surveys to gather informative insights
- Analyzing data and presenting results of studies
- Supporting strategic corporate DEI programs
- Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:
- Discipline: Prefer Business, HR, Marketing, or Communications students
- Communications skills and / or DEI knowledge or experience
- Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using different web tools and developing visually appealing and interactive presentations
- Be self-motivated, proactive, and innovative in delivering in spite of obstacles
- Possess excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Desire to assist others and meet their needs
- Able to develop cooperative relationships
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment and in cross-functional teams
- Able to quickly learn and contribute to team activities
- Be flexible to perform duties as assigned
Additional Job Conditions:
- May require occasional travel and work away from the regular work location
- Willingness and ability to work remotely/virtually
- Driver’s License is required (G2 or G)
- Must complete mandatory Hydro One orientation and other training courses
