The two-year program offers a permanent position from Day 1, a combination of training and coaching, and the ability to rotate through several roles allowing New Grads to gain experience working on different projects and in different environments.   

  

Program Eligibility  

  • You have graduated with your bachelor's degree in 2023, 2024 or will graduate by May 2025  

  • Or, you are currently completing a master's degree in a related field, you are graduating by May 2025, and have a maximum of 1 year between completing your bachelor's degree and enrolling in your master's program.  

  • Good Academic Standing (A copy of your Official/Unofficial Transcript)  

  • Valid, permanent driver's license (Ontario Class G)  

 

Capital Portfolio Delivery – Project Delivery  

 

We are looking for New Graduates in Project Delivery Team (3). 

 

Our Capital Portfolio Delivery division is responsible for leveraging our internal capabilities and working with key stakeholders and Indigenous partners to efficiently deliver our growing capital plan, ensuring Hydro One can support the future of energy in our province. The Project Delivery team is accountable to deliver all capital Transmission Station and Lines and Distribution Station power system projects, including Distributed Energy Resource (DER) projects. The team is focused on the safe, on-time, and on-budget delivery of the capital work program.   

 

In this role you will learn: 

  • Fundamentals and hands-on experience in Project Management 

  • Analytical understanding of project finances  

  • Hands-on experience in project controls (including scheduling, risk management, cost management, change management, etc.) 

  • Develop knowledge of power systems and electrical components including how they incorporate into overall system operations. 

  • Build on existing technical writing and presentation skills  

 

Duties may include: 

  • Working with large amounts of data for analysis and presentation of results. 

  • Writing Business Cases and working with multiple stakeholders for review and approval. 

  • Development of project schedule and execution plan with large number of team members 

  • Learning and understanding of processes and standards required for project execution. 

  • Leading teams through projects, including facilitating meetings, gaining commitments, resolving issues, etc.

  • Self-motivated individual with an aptitude to learn that can demonstrate going above and beyond what is expected 

  • High attention to detail 

  • Great verbal and written communication skills with ability to present to large groups 

  • Interest in driving change and taking on new challenges 

  • Leadership skills gained through extracurricular activities/volunteer experience or other experience in a team environment 

 

Job Requirements:  

  • Must meet New Grad Program Eligibility Requirements  

  • University Degree - Bachelor of Engineering degree (any discipline)  

  • Project Management skills/courses are considered an asset 

  • Experience in extracurricular activities/volunteer experience or other experience in a team environment is considered an asset 

  • Previous co-op experience in a relevant field and industry is considered an asset
