  • Or, you are currently completing a master's degree in a related field, you are graduating by May 2025, and have a maximum of 1 year between completing your bachelor's degree and enrolling in your master's program.

Distribution Work Management – Reporting, Financial & Analytics 

 

We are seeking 1 Accounting & Financial Analyst New Grads within Distribution Work Management – Reporting, Financial & Analytics team.  

 

Accounting & Financial Analyst within Distribution Work Management – Reporting, Financial & Analytics (DxWM RFA) are engaged in a variety of challenging and exciting roles and responsibilities. DxWM RFA Analytics team is an operational finance/report team, and responsible for all data analytics, financial/operational/regulatory reporting, scorecards and performance metrics for the Distribution organization. Accounting & Financial Analyst are charged with a variety of tasks that include running & analyzing existing cost reports, developing and uploading forecasts, compiling variance explanations, assist in resource management and capacity planning of project and program work, as well as develop new reports and dashboards.  A successful New Graduate in the DxWM RFA team would be an analytical individual comfortable with challenging the status quo and driving innovation and new technology in the department. 

 

In this role you will:  

  • Develop technical skills (utilizing SAP, BIBW and advanced Excel) 

  • Gain experience with dashboarding tools (Tableau and PowerBI) 

  • Learn program/program management principles (planning, scheduling, control and reporting) 

  • Practice management accounting, financial and data analysis skills 

  • Collaborate with the greater Distribution team, from Lines crews to Design technicians to Field Business Centre planning techs and Sustainment and Process Specialists 

 

Duties may include:  

  • Provide advice, guidance, recommendations and assistance to staff and management regarding financial manner 

  • Report on historical spending and identify, evaluate, analyze and explain project variances between budgeted/forecast and actual expenditures 

  • Developing and maintaining tools, dashboards and reports related to project costing and status 

  • Perform accounting transactions for various programs and projects, including cost accruals, revenue accruals, and journal transfers 

  • Utilize existing financial and management systems to gather and consolidate information to produce a variety of business information such as management reports, LOB budgets, business plan, staff plan, cost trends, performance reports, and monthly financial reports 

  • Assist in the preparation of the business plans and budgets, gathering departmental and LOB data and assessing and accumulating information into appropriate formats. 

  • Provide business support to the LOB in project administration including release, work order and reporting activities. 

  • Contribute to department process improvements; for example, creating new reports, developing new tools to expedite manual processes, and improving the team's records management processes.

Job Requirements: 

  • Must meet New Grad Program Eligibility Requirements  

  • A University undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Statistics, Data Science, or related field 

  • Having or working towards a recognized accounting or finance designation (CPA, CFA) is considered an asset 

  • Previous Co-op/Internship experience in a relevant field and industry is considered an asset
