Students hired into the Project Delivery, Contracts Management department will be given the opportunity to learn the coordination of engineering, procurement, and construction contracts to deliver on new and upgraded electrical infrastructure. Students will have exposure to managing high-voltage power line and electrical sub-station construction projects. Students will learn and develop key Contract and Project Management concepts. Leadership and communication skills will be developed to instill confidence in the candidate's abilities. In addition, there will be opportunities to build working relationships with contractors and consulting firms.

 

Your job duties may include:

·       Coordinate with internal stakeholders including contract management and project management teams to ensure alignment with contract requirements

·       Monitor, report, prepare reports and update on contracts progress across transmission and distribution projects

·       Monitor, report and assist with contractor performance evaluations, tracking milestones and status reports

·       Assess, plan, budget and schedule assigned work providing necessary data and reports as required,

·       Assist in preparing and presenting contract plans, updated processes, plans and status reports to management and other stakeholders

·       Attend and document station site visits

·       Assist in the development of capital project program, engineering and construction plans

·       Utilize various project application software to populate and articulate execution plans

·       Assist with administrative duties to support Contracts Management and Project Management staff and

·       Other duties as required

This job will provide you with the following professional development:

·       Gain the knowledge necessary to develop a career in contracts management and project delivery

·       Gain experience in contracts management  reporting

 

Selection Criteria:

·       Disciplines: Business Administration

·       Academic level: 2nd or 3rd year university student

·       Other requirements: Familiar with Microsoft applications, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate

·       Good communications skills and able to present to the team

 

Additional job conditions:

·       Travel to various project sites throughout the province may be required

·       Ontario Driver's license, G category is preferred

 

Work location is in Toronto, ON. Currently, this position follow a hybrid working environment
